THE CORRECT ANSWER: Franklin D. Roosevelt

He first implemented the "New Deal", an ambitious program of economic and social reforms to get his country out of the crisis.Later, faced with the rise of fascism, he engaged the United States in World War II after the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. His leadership was crucial in orchestrating the victory of the Allies alongside Churchill and Stalin.Due to the global crisis, he was re-elected four consecutive times, an all-time record which later led to the amendment of the US Constitution to limit terms to two.
